Who We Are
ASU Herberger Institute Community School for Design and the Arts offers quality arts education to children, teens and adults while providing teaching opportunities for Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts outstanding graduate students.

We offer non-credit classes and private instruction in art, digital art, design, dance, drama and music on the ASU Tempe and Polytechnic campuses and other sites throughout the Phoenix area. We strive to inspire creativity in students of all ages by offering innovative and aspiring curriculum in each discipline. By sharing our resources with the community, we seek to impact and enrich the arts culture in Arizona. In turn, our instructors grow through their interaction with the rich cultures that abound in this region. Instructors are selected from among experienced graduate students in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts who are mentored and supervised by ASU professors.

An array of classes and private lessons in all disciplines are available for preschoolers, children, teens, adults and seniors throughout the academic year. Summer camps for children ages 4–14 are held during June and July of each year, providing opportunities for intense study in the arts, involving performances, exhibitions and collaborations with various programs across the ASU Tempe campus.
